The Father ~ by: Peggy Klutts

Since you were a little girl, I stood before you.

I prayed for you. I watched you grow.

You were searching for Me, but your eyes could not see,

that I was standing right before thee.

I watched you cry and held your heart in My hands.

The one you longed for was not there,

so you hated the emptiness, the thin air.

You tried to find love, but everywhere you searched turned up empty.

Nothing could take My place.

I have never taken My eyes off of you,

and when you didn't know it, I was smiling at you.

The time we danced and nobody saw,

just you through Me, we shall conquer it all.

I take your broken pieces, and your shattered heart,

and bind them to speak to all who are Mine.

The fatherless one has a father, she has THE FATHER.

She will help pour out My love in only ways she can

because I have loved her as no other man.

She knows and loves that she is Mine.
