If you are around children, pay attention to what they "pretend play." Often, what we are created for is present at a young age, but the child does not know, nor does the parent realize how to identify this as a gift or a calling into something he or she should pursue. For instance, if the child plays "school," and she's the teacher, or plays the part of a veterinarian helping animals, help feed them more information about that particular interest lest they forget. Perhaps buy literature or plan volunteer opportunities so their exposure and passion to their interests has an opportunity to grow. Life and opinions from others about what we should do with our lives can snuff out a light that was meant to burn brighter and bring blessings to others in the world.
